Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR)

All MWR facilities have detailed reset/recovery plans in place and upon approval from higher authority, we will open back up again when it is safe for both our staff & customers. The following MWR programs and services are open back up, at least on a limited basis. Please continue to check back for frequent updates.

Walk-up or Email Reservations: Contact Sports and Fitness via Email: grlkmwrsportsand.fct@navy.mil for a reservation, or walk into front entrance of the Epicenter, Bldg. 525 during the hours listed above. All equipment is checked out for a maximum of 24 hours except on weekends, which has a max of 72 hours. For more details and a list of what is available, click here.

The Commissary is OPEN

Effective 01DEC2020, the Great Lakes Commissary will be closed to the public between 1300-1500 on Tuesday and Thursdays until further notice.

As of 17NOV2020 the Commissary has begun limiting Patrons into the Commissary to 50 at a time and the Visitor and Guest policy has been temporarily suspended until further notice. Only those who have current Commissary privileges will be allowed in the Commissary.

* Continually sanitizing all surfaces customers touch (door handles/pin pads/etc)
* Face masks required for all employees/contractors/customers/etc
* 100% ID checks
* Sanitizing carts between each use available outside

Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) is now testing all qualified donations (whether through a donor center or at a mobile blood drive) for COVID19 antibodies as a public health service for blood donors. If you are positive for the antibodies, you will be notified and the plasma from your donation can be used to treat a patient battling COVID-19.
